ABOUT THE BURSAR
MultiChoice is a South African company offering DStv (Digital Satellite Television) to approximately 5 million viewers throughout Africa. MultiChoice was formed when M-Net divided into two separate companies in 1993.
The MultiChoice bursary programme was formed due to the companies strong belief in education and skill development of the youth.
ABOUT THE BURSARY
Bursaries will be awarded to students within the following fields of study:
- BSc Engineering (with mechatronics)
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Information Technology (Software Development)
- Software Engineering
The bursary will cover the following expenses: most study fees, prescribed textbooks, meals, accommodation and a monthly stipend. Over and above these items, students will also be given the opportunity to work with MultiChoice during the mid-year holidays.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- South African citizen,
- Completed Matric,
- Currently studying full-time (2nd/ 3rd/ honours year of study) in one of the aforementioned fields,
- Achieved a minimum average of 65% for all subjects.
*Preference will be granted to EE students.
