ABOUT THE BURSAR
South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors (PLATO) is a board for qualified Professional Surveyors, Technologist Surveyors, Technician Surveyors and GISc Practitioners. It is mandatory for these professionals to register with PLATO.
ABOUT THE BURSARY
The bursary will be awarded to students who are currently registered or registering within the following fields of study:
- Surveying /Geomatics (B.Sc),
- Surveying / Mine Surveying / Geomatics (B.Tech), or
- Surveying / Mine Surveying or GIS (Diploma).
Students who have completed their qualification at university, must register as a Land Surveyor within 4 years of completing their B.Sc. Surveying Degree.
Students who have completed their National Diploma, must register as a Mine Survey Technician/ Survey Technician/ GIS Technician within 2 years of completing their diploma.
HOW TO APPLY
Download and complete the Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors Bursary Application Form (pdf).
Please include the following documents with your application:
- ID document (certified copy),
- Matric certificate (certified copy),
- Tertiary qualifications certificate(s) (certified copy),
- June and November exam results (certified copy),
- Confirmation of registration at University / University of Technology (certified copy), OR
- Provisional letter of acceptance at University / University of Technology(certified copy).
