ABOUT THE BURSAR

The South African Veterinary Foundation is a non-profit organisation, whose aim it is to raise funds and promote animal education by research and informing the general public.
The South African Veterinary Foundation (SAVF) initiated the bursary fund in 1999 and have since provided funding for 34 veterinary students. Since inception, The SAVF have provided bursaries to the sum of R215 500.

ABOUT THE BURSARY

Bursaries will be awarded to deserving BVSc (Veterinary Science) IV and BVSc (Veterinary Science) V students. There are 2 bursaries to be awarded to the value of R10 000 each.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen,
  • Studying towards a BVSc qualification (4th or 5th year students),
  • Achieved a minimum average of 60% in previous exam period,
  • Partakes in campus student activities (sport/ culture etc).

Please attach the following items to your online application:

  • ID document (certified copy),
  • Curriculum Viate,
  • Latest academic record (on tertiary letterhead),
  • Current student debt breakdown.

 
Applicants will be required to fill in their personal details (first name, last name, contact number, email address), as well as details about their studies (student number and year of study). Applicants will also be required to answer 10 MCQ before submitting their final application.

31 March annually.
