Admission requirements

Undergraduates

For all Certificate, Diploma and National Diploma applications, consult the General admission requirements.

Some courses require students to submit additional information as part of their application.

Postgraduates

General Admission requirements

The Admission Requirements leaflet contains the admission requirements for all the courses presented at CPUT, as well as general admission information, qualification structures, and details about where each course is presented. Prospective students are encouraged to check the requirements of the course they want to study before applying.

Additional admission requirements

Some courses require students to submit additional information as part of their application. Applications without the additional requirements will not be considered.

Optical dispensing

Students who wish to apply for the National Diploma Optical Dispensing must complete a separate questionnaire along with the application.

Closing dates

M & D Full Research is 15 March 2024 for both National and International applicants.

RETURNING higher degree (Master’s and Doctoral) and structured Master’s degree candidates must register by 6 March each year.
