IIE Principles of Business Management – Distance

INTRODUCTION
This short learning programme (SLP) has been designed to assist the individual seeking to build foundational knowledge and skills in the field of business management. As individuals progress in their careers, they find themselves in need of effective planning techniques, departmental problem solving, and being responsible for overall team performance. Business performance is often hindered by employees’ lack of ability to work in synergy with other functional departments. This may be overcome with an understanding of the key business activities and insight into the vital contribution made by each department to organisational success
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Students should meet the following requirements:

  • Be proficient in English.
  • Should have three to four years work experience.
  • Must be able to prepare for lectures and engage in self-directed study outside the classroom and be prepared for dynamic discussion in the classroom.
  • Must have access to internet

DURATION
IIE Principles of Business Management is offered as a distance SLP, with supporting online mediated sessions.

CERTIFICATION

The IIE Principles of Business Management (Distance) programme is a short learning programme (SLP) certified by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). Students enrolled in this SLP can apply, on successful completion, for recognition of the learning achieved, for the equivalent module offered on a full time qualification, when registering for any other IIE programmes.
The IIE Higher Certificate in Business Principles and Practice (apply to be exempt from: Business Management 1a and 1b).*

  • The IIE BCom degree (apply to be exempt from: Business Management 1a).*
