IIE School Operational Planning
INTRODUCTION
In addition to subject timetabling and activity scheduling, the school academic calendar is packed with meetings and events that demand the use of limited resources. These often include limited teaching staff, limited financial resources, and limited time, considering the school term durations. This short learning programme equips individuals with operational planning principles to achieve excellence in school operations.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
- Heads of Department (HODs) and/or School Principals looking to complete a quality professional development learning programme to enhance their operational skills.
- Educators wanting to enhance their operational planning knowledge and skills to improve efficiency in their areas of planning and co-ordinating operations.
DURATION
Lectures are conducted once a week in the evening or on a Saturday morning over 7 seven weeks.
PROGRAMMES MATERIAL
The short learning programme fee includes all programme material, which becomes the property of the student. This material constitutes a valuable source of ongoing reference.
PROGRAMME EVALUATION
Candidates will be required to complete an assignment as a final assessment
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of (4) four years teaching experience and (4) four years of working experience.
- Preferably be in a management position within a teaching environment.
- Be proficient in English.
- Must be able to engage in self-directed study
CERTIFICATION
School Operational Planning is an SLP that is certified by The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). Students enrolled for this short learning programme can apply, on successful completion, to be exempt based on recognition of prior learning from the equivalent module on The IIE Education Management Development Programme. All SLPs available through The Business School have been specifically designed for working adults. Before registration students must ensure that the programme selected best suits their individual learning and workplace objectives These SLPs differ from the full qualifications available through Varsity College which are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).
