INTRODUCTION

Changing business contexts demand change in strategic approach. As a result business can no longer rely on outdated Human Resources policies and practices to create value for the firm.
In summary being an effective Human Resource (HR) Manager entails being able to bring new perspective to the employer-employee relationship by adopting innovative techniques to transform their workforce into a competitive advantage for the business. This short learning programme provide contemporary strategic principles with two key objectives:

  • To support a newly appointed HR Manger to transition from a junior HR administration role to a management position within HR
  • To provide knowledge and skills for an HR Administrator (preferably with an undergraduate degree), to progress into an HR management position.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

  • Those who intend entering a managerial level of HRM
  • Managers wishing to update their knowledge with current human resource practices.
  • Managers who wish to ensure that they remain conversant with recent changes in labour relations practice.

 

DURATION

Lectures are conducted once a week in the evening or on a Saturday morning over 16 weeks.
 

PROGRAMMES MATERIAL

The short learning programme fee includes all programme material, which becomes the property of the student. This material constitutes a valuable source of on-going reference.
 

PROGRAMME EVALUATION

Students will be required to submit an assignment at the end of the program.
