INTRODUCTION

  • Close contact with Port Elizabeth’s major hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, and community pharmacies means the University of Port Elizabeth’s Pharmacy Department is well-positioned to educate and train students in the diverse aspects of pharmaceutical practice.

  • The degree extends over 4 years full-time study, whereafter students must complete a year of practical training (internship) and a further year of community service in order to be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.
