SINCE IT’S INCEPTION IN 2004 THE ACADEMY HAS STRIVED TO PROVIDE A
PRACTICAL COURSE FOR CHEFS BY CHEFS WITHOUT THE ADDED EXTRAS THAT ARE
NOT RELEVANT TO THE KITCHEN.
We offer the most practical intensive course in South Africa with hands-on classes everyday, no demonstrations
with students sitting watching instead of cooking themselves.
Our instructors are qualified chefs with industry relevant experience whose primary responsibility is to equip
graduates with the skills and confidence to successfully enter the industry. Classes are limited to 16 students
to ensure proper knowledge transfer.
We do not chase competitions or encourage celebrity. Instead we offer repetitive training of the basic principles
of cookery in an environment of one-on-one tuition. We care about our students’ abilities because they reflect
on our brand.
Past graduates have excelled in the industry and run top kitchens in Cape Town, Chefs Warehouse Beau Constantia, The Cullinan &
The Greenhouse to name a few. Others have gone on to open their own business such as The Creamery, Woodstock Bakery
and Shesha Catering. We like to think that our course gave them that little bit extra to achieve their success.
