Cabin Crew/Flight Attendant – Aviation Medicine

AVIATION MEDICINE

Our First Aid training course will enable our learners to deal with any life threatening and medical emergency situations. This course is presented by qualified personnel who are accredited by the Resuscitation Council, Department of Labour and the SACAA. Our personnel are also accredited Designated Examiners by the South African Civil Aviation Authority. Medical emergencies, injuries and environmental situations are trained to ensure competence of our learners.
The following emergency situations/modules that crew will be trained to handle will include, but are not limited to:

  • Basic First Aid includes Level 1, 2 or 3.
  • Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Heartsaver, AED Training (Automated External Defibrillation)
  • HIV & AIDS
  • Child Birth
  • Cardiovascular, breathing and Central Nervous System problems
  • Diabetes/Low Blood sugar/SHOCK / Dehydration
  • Wounds, Burns, Sprains, Bleeding, Head, Neck and Spinal Injuries
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, and Choking
  • The Chain of Survival
  • Death on board
  • Effects of flying altitude on the human body

Course Entry Requirements

  •   When attending this course while undertaking the cabin crew member licensing programme the course entry requirements will be the same as those for initial training
  •   A flight crew members licence for licensed crew members
