Learn the basics of 3D Modeling & Texturing in this excellent Foundation course
Ever wonder what the buzz is about 3D modeling? Many artists and companies from game and TV productions, to architects and museums worldwide, use 3D Modelling tools in different ways – from creating graphics, animations and object visualizations, to even 3D Printing. With this course, you will learn how to create 3D models and how to turn them into convincing objects with realistic surfaces using the Blender software package, enabling you to turn your concept into a creation! This is the first of two courses that will introduce you to the Blender interface and the essential modeling and texturing techniques. This course serves as an excellent foundation for the second module of 3D modeling, 3D Sculpting & Retopology.
Course Requirements
Students should have working knowledge and understanding of the following:
- Adobe Photoshop or equivalent

- The Theory behind 3D models
- The Blender Interface for modeling and editing
- Editing and manipulating 3D objects
- The most important modeling techniques
- Unwrapping 3D objects
- Texturing 3D objects and the purpose of textures
- How to use the reference material for modeling
- Modeling different types objects
