The Wedding Your role on the wedding day; Organising and conducting various types of ceremonies; Formation of the receiving line; The reception. Module 2 The Many Parts of a Wedding The details of a wedding, including clothes, flowers, jewellery, music, gifts and photography; Advising on the selection of an engagement ring; Advising on wedding picture selections. Basics of a Bridal Business Starting a business; Marketing; Merchandising; Charging clients; Setting up bookkeeping processes and maintaining records. Module 3 The Role of a Consultant The importance of your image; Who should make the appropriate decisions about a wedding; Content of a wedding budget; Writing and executing a consulting agreement; Using formulas to calculate your fees. How to Participate in a Bridal Show Initial planning considerations; Choosing a show in which to participate; Developing and designing a booth; Marketing your participation; Selling and following up on contacts. Module 4 Organising a Bridal Show Initial planning; Contracting a facility; Developing a fashion show; Developing an advertising campaign; Cost estimates; Contacting and securing exhibitors and determining door prizes. Module 5 Working from Home Establishing a market; Avoiding marketing mistakes; Promoting your business; Knowing the tax system. The Business of Weddings, Part 1 Getting started; Developing a business plan; Getting organised; Recording progress and taxes.
