We will assign South African applicants who have a parent who was classified as black, coloured, Chinese or Indian under apartheid to redress categories on the following basis:
- where a parent was classified black;
- not in 1, where a parent was classified coloured;
- not in 1 or 2, where a parent was classified Indian;
- not in 1, 2 or 3, where a parent was classified chinese.
** South African applicants and permanent residents (with a focus on those applicants with NSC/ IEB schooling) who have a parent from redress categories (Black, Chinese, Coloured, Indian) may apply for admission into the Academic Development (AD) streams.
