Pharmacy In South Africa – South African Pharmacy Council SAPC
In terms of the requirements of the Pharmacy Act, the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is responsible for establishing, developing, maintaining and controlling universally acceptable standards in pharmaceutical education & training. The SAPC implements the above objective by developing qualifications, accrediting provider and courses and quality assuring the delivery of the programmes. Furthermore Council evaluates foreign qualifications for purposes of registration with Council.
Council oversees all actions aimed at running the pre-registration year for pharmacists as well as the in-service training of pharmacist’s assistants.
