THE NSFAS (DoE) STUDENT BURSARY SCHEME

Who can apply?

 Only South African citizens are eligible for this bursary scheme
         A student must be registered for or intending to register for a NC(V) or Report 191 course on full-time basis
         Financially needy students with academic potential
         Evidence of good academic performance should be provided
         It should be noted that applying for a bursary does NOT guarantee that it will be allocated to you

All documents must be certified copies (Only academic record may be original)

Final Grade 9/Grade10/Grade11 results
Senior certificate (with exception for Bachelor’s degree) or
Senior certificate Vocational (with endorsement for e.g. Degree, Diploma or certificate)
Cambridge School Certificate A/O Level IGCSE/HIGCSE
NSSC Higher/Ordinary Level,  IEB
Conditional grade 12 exemption certificate
N3/N4/N5/N6 results
Original SAQA evaluation
Certified copies of statement of results
Academic record and certificate of conduct if registered at another higher education institution (original)
Certified copies of ID document/Birth certificate
Certified copy of passport
Certified copy of guardian/Next of kin
Study Permit
