Comprehensive university study bursaries and support are available for students who are strong academically and have a keen interest in Actuarial Science.
The bursary covers the following:
The full time Programme Managers based at each partner university ensure that our students are taken good care of. They offer and arrange the following for our students:
Academic and Social Support
Additional Tutorials
Mentorship, etc.
SAADP staff visit schools that are capable of producing excellent grades in Maths, Science and English. We collaborate with the National Department of Basic Education and Provincial Departments of Education in the ongoing selection of eligible schools.

Candidate Requirements:

Learners must be in Grade 12 and have an excellent academic record. They must be achieving at least a level 7 (80%) in Mathematics (NOT Mathematical Literacy), Physical Sciences and in English. All interested learners are encouraged to study and pass Maths Paper 3.
Learners must have keen interest in Actuarial Science and display the potential to excel academically at university level.
Learners must have applied and been accepted at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (Wits), University of Cape Town (UCT) or University of Pretoria (UP). The closing dates for these universities differ, learners are advised to contact these universities and apply early in their matric year for admission.
