Graduates are equiped to manage environmental aspects such as water demand, energy and transport impacts, enrironmental impacts assessments and environmental policies.

Employment Opportumities exists in government departments such as the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Water Affairs and Forestry, Industry and consulting companies. Graduates are employed as Environmental Law Consultants, Environmental Impact Assessment Specialists and Environmental Auditors.

Graduates develop managerial and research skills. The programme also offers the opportunity to specialise in disciplines suvh as Water Quality Management, Intergrated Catchment Management, Enviromental rehabilitation, Enviromental Impact assessments and Enviromental Management Systems (ISO 14000)
