The purpose of the module Specialisation CSS420 is to offer final-year students the opportunity of exposure to studies at an advanced level, which is largely self-study driven. Students make their own choice regarding which one of the available postgraduate modules they would like to take. On the timetable provision is made for two lecture periods per week for CSS420. Each lecturer will however make appropriate arrangements with the students regarding meetings, assignments, projects, etc. The nature of the assessment of this module will depend on the elective chosen and will include any, or all of tests, assignments/projects, and a final exam. More information on each module can be downloaded from the information brochure below. All specialisation modules will be completed in the first 6 weeks of semester 2.
The following options will be offered in Semester 2 of 2024:
- Analytical Techniques (Coordinator: Prof P Crouse)
- Optimisation Techniques (Coordinator: Mr Carl Sandrock)
- Environmental Engineering (Coordinator: Prof E Chirwa)
- Polymer Processing (Coordinator: Prof W Focke)
All students complying with the prerequisite (CPJ 421 #) must:
(i) Download & read the options document below
(ii) Complete the poll on Doodle.com (a link will be sent to all students registered for CSS420 )
