ABOUT THE BURSAR

The Eastern Cape Department of Roads and Public Work (ECDPW) aim to supply high quality infrastructure services to its residents.
The ECDPW implemented the bursary scheme to promote skill development within fields of study related to Roads and Public Works.

ABOUT THE BURSARY

Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study:

  • Architectural Studies (Degree/ National Diploma)
  • Building Management (Degree/ National Diploma)
  • Civil Engineering (BSc)
  • Construction Management (BSc)
  • Electrical Engineering (Degree)
  • Mechanical Engineering (BSc)
  • Real Estate (Degree/ National Diploma)

Once graduated, students will be required to work for the Eastern Cape Department of Roads and Public Works, for an equal period of time as the bursary awarded.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen,
  • Permanent resident of the Eastern Cape Province,
  • From a disadvantaged background,
  • High academic results/ strong potential,
  • Currently in Matric or have completed Matric,
  • Will be studying in one of the aforementioned fields of study (first year),
  • Will be studying at a recognised tertiary institution in SA.
