Course fees

The following fee structures will apply to your course in 2024. Fees are subject to an annual increase effective from January each year.
** Take note:  Fee structure is based on standard course requirements (i.e. 2 academic semesters – annual), credit points per unit may vary based on specific course requirements and semester offerings.

2024 Accommodation fee structure

  • Accommodation fees are payable upfront per semester due to the limited available on campus accommodation.
  • Should you decline, in writing, our offer for accommodation you will only forfeit your R 1,700 non-refundable residence admin fee.
  • Should you be offered accommodation, accept the offer and submit a written cancellation within 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the particular semester you will forfeit R 1,700 non-refundable residence admin fee and R 2,300 of your 30% acceptance deposit.
  • Should you be offered accommodation, accept the offer, move into your room and decide to move out of your assigned room before the conclusion of the specific semester, you will be held liable for the full semester fee (including the residence admin fee).  If you manage to secure an active MSA student to take over your lease we may consider a pro-rata fee for each student.
  • Your 1st semester accommodation fee covers occupation for February – June.
  • Your 2nd semester accommodation fee covers occupation for July – November.

2024 Miscellaneous fees

Gym Fees

All fees are reviewed annually.

Calculating your fees

Full-fee students (international or domestic) can calculate their unit fee by multiplying the annual course fee by the load of the unit.
The equivalent full-time student load (EFTSL) of the unit is calculated by dividing the number of credit points of the unit (six credit points) by 48 credit points which is the equivalent full-time load per year.
For example, a six point unit (semester unit) is 0.125 EFTSL, and the annual course fee is R37,790 so the individual unit fee would be:
R37,790 x 0.125 = R4,723.75
