GSB Advanced Training in Company-Community Collaboration and Conflict Resolution for Complex Environments

The UCT Graduate School of Business (GSB) in partnership with the Africa Centre for Dispute Settlement (ACDS) presents Advanced Training in Company-Community Collaboration and Conflict Resolution in Complex Environments course.
The tools of mediation, with its focus on helping parties find common ground and a common vision for moving forward, can be a particularly useful intervention in complex environments. Going beyond the core principles of interest-based negotiation and mediation, participants will learn principles of conflict sensitive intervention and Do No Harm; what it means to operate to international standards; how to design and implement processes that are broadly inclusive and legitimate; and how to manage durable systems for resolving company-community conflicts and maximizing collaborative opportunities.
This programme will be delivered through a series of lectures, varied practical exercises, simulations, and written assignments.
