How Much Is Hyundai Creta In south Africa?
Hyundai has officially unveiled its Creta SUV lineup for South Africa.
The new SUV is available in five options with two specification levels – Premium and Executive.
“The first-generation Creta was an immediate volume-seller in Hyundai’s South African SUV range since its launch in 2025,” said Hyundai.
“After a slight mid-term facelift the following year, the new, second-generation Creta arrives on our shores at the end of 2025 with striking exterior looks.”
The Creta has also received an updated interior, with a longer and wider cabin than its predecessor, while the body itself is “visibly larger” and smoother than the previous model.
Inside the car you find a multifunction steering wheel, cruise control system, a wireless charging pad (in Executive models), Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and an infotainment system with 8-inch touchscreen.
Engine power
The Creta can be bought with one of three engine options:

- 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel – 85kW and 250Nm
- 1.4 turbocharged petrol – 103kW and 242Nm
These engines are then paired with manual or automatic transmissions that drive the front wheels.
“The engines are mated in different combinations to either a 6-speed manual gearbox, a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission, a new 6-speed intelligent variable transmission, or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission,” said Hyundai.
It must be noted that the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine is only available with the “flagship” Creta 1.4 TGDI Executive model, which also receives the 7-speed DCT transmission and two-tone exterior colour finish.
On the safety side, the Creta features front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger – while two curtain airbags for rear passengers are also included with Executive models.
