IBM Financial Planning and Control
This Unit Standard is for people who are responsible for controlling the finances of a small business or who are responsible for the bookkeeping aspect of financial management in larger organisations.
This course will enable the learner to determine the financial elements in business, draw up a business plan, set out goals and be able to look at the future direction (vision) of the business.
No admission requirements
Open to all, no admission requirements but it is assumed that a learner is competent in communication and mathematical literacy level 3.

- Prepare a business plan.
- Monitor actual performance against a budget.
- Make decisions on purchasing of fixed assets.
- Understand the importance of financial reporting.
Certification
Your IBM SETA Course Certificate will be issued indicating outcomes covered and credits earned. Credits can be used towards appropriate further study at any accredited training institution in South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho.
