We have a fully operational Day Spa offering an array of treatments to the general public.
Our 2nd and additional year Students have the privilege to gain first-hand experience in our student salon. Here the students work on clients, experiencing different skin types, body types, personalities and problems. We pride ourselves in the fact that our students are confident professionals, upon the completion of their course, due to the time spent and experience gained, working in a functional salon. Clients can book for treatments from Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm and Saturdays 8am – 1pm at very low prices. We’ve had numerous of employers, requesting International Academy students to join their business after their studies, because of the level of expertise that newly qualified therapist has. All basic services are offered in our salon eg. Manicures, Pedicures, Facials, Massages, Waxing, Make-up applications, Body slimming treatments.
Post Graduate students offer treatments such as Skin Peels ,VPL, Laser hair removal, pigmentation removal and skin rejuvenation, Swiss Shower treatments
PRODUCTS:
Products used for facial treatments are Gatineau and Environ. Both products are established brands, with great results. Environ is a South African product, based on Vitamin A, designed for the South African climate. This product was developed by Dr Dez Fernandez, a well-known plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He believes in treating the skin daily in order to have a healthy skin. Sunscreen is a very important aspect in this product. Gatineau is a French Developed product, but well-known in South Africa. This is a luxurious, fragranced product with various ranges available for different skin types and ages.
Nimue is a South African product, with phenomenal results. This brand specializes in 3 main ranges being: Pigmentation, Problematic(acneic) Skin and Environmentally damaged. Two different Skin peel is available in this product house.
