International Business Training College(IBTC) CFA Level I

This is the first of three exams offered by the CFA. Students will need to complete all three to become a CFA charter holder. Level I examinations have always focused primarily on testing investment tools and concepts that apply to investment valuation and management.

Exams

Exams are offered annually at test centers around the world on the first Saturday in June. The Level I exam is also offered in December. Exams must be passed sequentially and are only available in EnglishThe exam content, learning focus, and question format increase in complexity with each level. Level I exams consist of basic knowledge and comprehension questions focused on investment tools; some questions will require analysis.Information regarding your exam venue will be provided by the CFA Institute after registration.Exams are computer-based and each exam is 6 hours long. The Level I exam consists of 240 multiple choice questions, split between two 3-hour sessions. Candidates must attend both sessions. Question types include multiple choice questions and complete-the-missing-word questions.Results for Level I candidates are available within 60 days of the exam date. You can retake each exam as many times as required to pass

International Business Training College(IBTC) CFA Level II

Overview

This is the second of the three exams that form part of the CFA® Program. The Level II examination focuses on testing tools and concepts that relate to asset valuation.

Exams

Exams are offered annually at test centers around the world on the first Saturday in June. Exams must be passed sequentially and are only available in English.
The exam content, learning focus, and question format increase in complexity with each level. Level II exams emphasize more complex analysis, along with a focus on valuing assets.Information regarding your exam venue will be provided by the CFA Institute after registration.Exams are computer-based and each exam is 6 hours long. The Level II exam consists of 20 item set questions (with 6 items each). 10 item set questions are examined in the morning session and 10 in the afternoon session. Candidates must attend both sessions.Results for Level II candidates are available within 60 days of the exam date. You can retake each exam as many times as required to pass.

International Business Training College(IBTC) CFA Level III

Overview

This is the last of the three exams that form part of the CFA® Program. The Level III examination focuses on portfolio management.

Exams

Exams are offered annually at test centers around the world on the first Saturday in June. Exams must be passed sequentially and are only available in English.The exam content, learning focus, and question format increase in complexity with each level. Level III exams require synthesis of all the concepts and analytical methods in a variety of applications for effective portfolio management and wealth planning.Information regarding your exam venue will be provided by the CFA Institute after registration.Exams are computer-based and each exam is 6 hours long. The Level III exam consists of both item set and constructed response (essay) questions. The morning session includes 8 to 12 essay questions, while the afternoon session includes 10 item set questions. Candidates must attend both sessions.Results for Level III candidates are available within 90 days of the exam date. You can retake each exam as many times as required to pass.

International Business Training College(IBTC) CFA Entry Requirements

To enrol in the CFA® Program and register for your first exam, you must have one of the following:

A bachelor’s or equivalent degree, or
4 years’ professional work experience (it doesn’t have to be investment related), or
A combination of professional work experience and education totalling 4 years (part-time work doesn’t apply)

The CFA Institute has a strict policy which requires that students are in possession of a valid international travel passport to register for the CFA® Program. Students will also be required to adhere to the CFA® Professional Conduct and Candidate Responsibility statements.

International Business Training College(IBTC) CFA Fees

Your fees are split between institute fees (which are paid directly to the CFA Institute), and tuition fees (which are paid to IBTC).
Registration fee
A once-off enrolment fee of $450 is payable to the CFA Institute when enrolling for the CFA® Program.

Exam fees
June 2024 exam – Levels I, II & III

Early registration fee: $650 (ends 21 Sept 2024)
Standard registration fee: $930 (ends 15 Feb 2024)
Late registration fee: $1,380 (ends 15 March 2024)

Curriculum material (also called the Candidate Body of Knowledge) in electronic format
An interactive study planner to guide and track your exam preparation
Topic-based practice tests
Mock exams
A mobile study app with access to everything listed above
