Client consultation & contraindications, to effectively treat the removal of comedones, improve wrinkles, sun damage, and acne scarring. To provide treatments for the purposes of relaxation, stress relief, slimming & weight loss. Is the use of Body Electrical machines (galvanic, faradic, vacuum suction, G-5 & micro current) to help correct body imperfections. Massage is the use of hands, of mechanical means, to manipulate the soft tissues of the body, particularly muscles. It can be used for relaxation, stimulation or rehabilitation of the whole body of part of it. It promotes suppleness of the muscles, improves circulation and reduces stress. | 5 Months | – |

History, body exfoliation, steam & sauna treatments, hydrotherapy treatments, mud wraps, seaweed treatments, a Spa visit, contra indications, client consultation & health & safety. Spa means – health from water. Here we offer you training in a concise selection of treatments for the purposes of relaxation, and stress release | 5 Months | – |
| Level 3 Reflexology Diploma |
This holistic therapy treats the whole person, by using the feet as ‘maps’ of the body. On the feet there are points or zones which correspond to organs and systems of the body. By pressing on one of these points, the corresponding organ in the body is affected. A trained reflexologist uses finger or thumb pressure on each of the zones to find problem areas. This pressure can help the corresponding part of the body to heal and balance the body. Some professionals use reflexology techniques during massage treatments. | 5 Months | – |

Diet and nutrition is the study of nutrients, vitamins and Minerals. Diet related diseases and disorder like diabetes, cholesterol. Eating disorders like obesity, anorexia nervosa and bulimia. | Level 4 Advanced Skincare Certificate |
The main aim of the ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Skincare is to enable Learners to gain the necessary theoretical knowledge in order to provide Advanced Skincare Treatments. For the already qualified therapist this training involves advanced skin analysis, advanced anatomy & physiology of the skin, microbiology, cosmetic chemistry and science. Advanced anti-ageing training is done on Chemical peeling, microdermabrasion, lasers & IPL. | 1 Year | – |

Personality Requirements
A potential health and skin care therapist should be a team player with integrity and the ability to be well organized. You will also need enthusiasm, be genuinely committed, love communicating with people and be able to thrive on challenges and have a good sense of humour!
Health and skin care therapy is a caring profession – not only do we carry out treatments but we also listen to client’s concerns; not only sharing their worries but also their joys.

Should you wish to register at International Health & Beauty Academy, you will need to contact us to arrange an interview. Registration can take place on the day of the interview.
Please note that due to the academy policy of having small classes giving students individual attention, only a limited number of students can be accommodated every year, interested students are advised to register as soon as possible to secure a place for the following academic year.
