This advanced Level 8 degree aims to provide students with a deeper understanding of the nature and function of, and the ability to apply the law in the regulation of commercial activity. The LLB is led by the latest industry discoveries and trends, which prepare you for the world of work. Graduates of this programme are capable of completing tasks and addressing problems that, while well defined, have a measure of complexity. The programme will cultivate the desire to uphold the values of the Constitution and to protect South Africa’s constitutional democracy by playing an active part in society and legal governance.
This qualification aims to equip with the knowledge base, theory and general rules of law. Graduates of this qualification will also hold in high regard their duty to contribute meaningfully to the development of the local and global society and economy. An LLB should be completed after the BCom Law should you wish to qualify as an attorney or advocate.

Specialisation

Successful graduates, upon completion of the Bachelor of Laws degree, obtain a 255 credits degree. The advanced Bachelor of Laws follows on a first undergraduate degree with sufficient law-related credits and its aim is to produce competent, skilled and dynamic legal graduates, equipped with a firm knowledge and understanding of the relevant legal principles.

Upon successful completion of this programme:
