ABOUT THE BURSAR
The Readers Unite Trust was founded by Ruda Landman, famously known for being a co-anchor on Carte Blanche from 1988 to 2006. Readers Unite was established with the aim of helping students fund their tertiary studies. Applicants are selected from disadvantaged backgrounds, who show strong academic potential and who want to create a career path in South Africa.
ABOUT THE BURSARY
Students can be studying towards a degree in any field of study, at university level. On completion of their studies, students will be required to contribute to the fund for the equal duration of their bursary award.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must meet the following minimal criteria before applying:
- Financial need,
- Academic excellence,
- Studying at a recognised South African university,
*Preference will be given to students who are nominated by a book club and that meet the above criteria.

Eligible students must apply online at: http://www.studietrust.co.za (between 1 May and 30 September annually).
