1. BEd Honours in Science and Mathematics Education
The Department of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education are offering an honours degree in Science and Mathematics Education from 2007. Prospective Science and Mathematics graduates including preservice and inservice teachers, curriculum developers and others with the necessary qualification (see below) are invited to register for this degree, which is offered on a part-time as well as full-time schedule.
Access to the qualification
Bachelor’s degree and teacher’s diploma/Postgraduate Certificate in Education (eg. BSc + HED/ PGCE); or
Four-year composite degree in Science Education (eg. BEd FET Natural Sciences); or
M + 4 Teacher’s Diploma; or
M + 3 Teacher’s Diploma and a Further Diploma in Education (FDE) or an Advanced Certificate in Education (ACE) (University or College)

Mathematics Education – Mathematics II
Life Sciences Education – Biology II or Zoology II or Botany II or General Science II
