Van Der Merwe Vervoer (Pty) Ltd, an industry leading freight and logistics company, is currently looking for a Logistics Intern to join their talented team at their Headquarters in Saldanha.
Job Title: VDM Logistics Internship
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Business Discipline
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
- Good Attemtion to detail, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical approach and comfortable working with numbers.
- Familiarity with supply chain principles.
- Ability to communicate confidently with personnel from all levels of the business.
- Able to use own initiative with the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
- Able to present themselves and negotiate to customers and suppliers.
- Flexibility of approach towards working hours.
- Have a valid drivers’ license and own transport.
- Contactable references Daily scheduling of component and tradable product.
- Responsible for creating essential daily logistics reports.
- Project coordinator for assigned planning and procurement activities.
