2024 Bursary / Scholarship Programme at SASOL

Closing Date: 30 April 2024

Candidates wishing to apply for the Sasol undergraduate bursary must meet the following minimum requirements:

Learners currently in Grade 12 or candidates in their 1st year of study in 2024 must have the following

  • Mathematics 70%,
  • Physical Science 70%, 
  • English 60%, and
  • must have obtained a pass in all other subjects.

Students who are currently enrolled for BSc or BEng  (have completed  at least the 1st year of study at a university) must have the following:

  • A minimum of 50% in all subjects registered in 2024.
  • Note that priority is given to students with exceptional academic records.

Applicants may apply online before 30 April 2024.

Please note:

  • Only South African citizens will be considered.
  • Sasol does not offer bursaries to individuals studying at a private University.
  • Sasol does not offer bursaries to individuals studying part time.
  • Candidates who are awarded for a specific field of study may  not change the particular field of study.
  • Candidates may only study at an approved university.
  • Change of institution is only allowed after written approval is obtained from Sasol.

2024 Bursary / Scholarship Programme at SASOL

Sasol has an opportunity for students who require practical work experience related to their field of studies, as required by the tertiary institution in order to complete the applicable degree. This opportunity is limited to student already in their 2nd/3rd year of study who are enrolled in Bachelor of Science/Engineering in the following fields:

  • Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronic Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Mining Engineering
  • Geology
  • Metallurgical  Engineering
  • Mine Surveying

Applicants must be South African citizen and be willing to undergo medical and security checks.

You will be required to upload your CV, copy of South African ID, full academic transcript, proof from University that vacation work is required for graduation purposes, confirmation that student will be available for full/total period of time. 

Accommodation and transport cannot be provided during the vacation work period. NB. Applicants to take note that should they not hear from Sasol by 15 November 2024, they must consider the application as unsuccessful.
