For the first time ever, a DANA event is being held, not at a hotel conference venue, but at the unique Skukuza Conference Centre which is located in the world-renowned Kruger National Park
Your conference registration includes a Game Drive to seek out “The Big 5”, and later to experience the conference dinner which will be a traditional African Braai (BBQ), under the stars of the African sky
Almost all speakers are now confirmed for this important second Africa Forest Industry Investment Conference – the current line up includes 14 international speakers
Three Major Keynote speakers are:

  • Ole Sand, the Managing Partner of Criterion Africa Partners who will open the conference. Criterion companies now harvest more logs than any other African company (excluding South Africa);
  • Piet van Zyl, the CEO of the major South African forest owning and wood processing company York Timbers; and
  • Stephen Jennings, Director of Rendeavour, a company which is investing in major urban infrastructure projects in Africa

In addition to this:

  • Country speakers covering Angola, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia are confirmed or are identified;
  • A number of South African and international speakers with presentations on regional and global wood trade, and on investment issues; and
  • All visits for a full 1 ½ day field trip are now in place, covering softwood and hardwood forestry and poles – sawn timber – plywood and pulp manufacturing
