THE KIM SACKS GALLERY IS LOOKING FOR A GALLERY MANAGER

This position is to be filled as soon as possible, but the beginning of March would also be acceptable.

The Kim Sacks Gallery is looking for a Gallery Manager
This is either a full day or possibly a half-day position.
The successful candidate will be required to assist the owner in the day-to-day management and running of the gallery. The person needs to be presentable and have an amicable demeanor.
The successful applicant needs to:

  • Be able to be a team player and manage a small group of staff.
  • Needs to have experience in some spheres of Fine Craft, Design or Tribal Art. If they don’t have experience, then some level of passionate interest would definitely be a recommendation.

The spectrum of skills required for this position is quite broad:
It would cover dealing with clients who walk into the gallery, as well as the running of our web-based gallery on a daily basis.
They would also be required to have very senior administrative skills and to be able to work on an apple Mac as well as to be able to take good photographs (not with a phone, but with a digital camera).
They would be expected to be able to co-ordinate the shipping of objects to destinations all over the world, dealing with shippers, insurers and packers.
They would also be required to maintain our database; web-based client’s needs as well as manage our social media platforms.
Meticulous attention to detail is a non-negotiable essential in all spheres of this position.
The ability to generate spreadsheets and invoices and other documents is also an imperative
Good communication and written skills in English are essential.
Researching skills and the ability to design and generate a comprehensive Artist’s C.V.
The applicant must be at least 35 years old with many years of experience.
Salary will be dependant on experience.
They must also live in reasonable proximity to the gallery.
They must have a valid driving license, this is non-negotiable.
