Key Performance Outputs:

  • The successful candidate, reporting to the Senior Manager Human Resources:
  • Facilitate end-to-end disciplinary processes in liaison with line management and represent the employer at CCMA on assigned cases;
  • Lead in the continued improvement of the health of the organization by monitoring performance indicators, such as absenteeism levels, grievances levels, disciplinary processes, employee well-being matters, development of initiatives and solutions;
  • Representation of the Company at external tribunals (e.g. CCMA, Labour court);
  • Coordinate Employment Equity Meetings and report on EE Plan and Targets, provide support to employee wellness and engagement programs;
  • Coordinate union meetings with HR and Management and follow up on items raised;
  • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals;
  • Remain up to date with legislation and the industry so as to provide input into the development, analysis and implementation of business and functional plans;
  • Adhere to and ensure continuous improvement to statutory compliance, organisational standards, policies and procedures.

Technical Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology/Social Sciences/Labour Relations;
  • A Bachelor Degree in Labour Relations/LLB is recommended;
  • 3 years€™ operational experience in HR Generalist role across functions;
  • 2 years€™ managerial experience in industrial actions;
  • Knowledge and experience in business acumen, reporting writing, financial management, and labour law;
  • Code B motor vehicle license;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of MS Office applications.
