Key Performance Outputs:

Input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the assets.

  • Ensure and execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Provide input into the development of the maintenance planning programme and execution thereof.
  • Participate in failure investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and/or manage material and spares.
  • Consult and give support in commissioning and testing of assets.
  • Ensure implementation of continuous improvement of the equipment/infrastructure.
  • Conduct studies and make recommendations on upgrades/replacements of assets.
  • Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP’s, operational standards, policies and practices.
  • Adherence to municipal by-laws.
  • Manage Service Level Agreement
  • Conduct continuous Audit and quality control (activities and contractual) and implement remedial action where required.
  • Determine, as part of cross-functional team, evaluation criteria and participate in evaluation and award of bids / tenders received.
  • Prepare, specify, scope of work and technical requirements
  • Provide Input into allocated budget.
  • Identify cost-saving initiatives within area of control.
  • Compile and submit relevant reports.
  • Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
  • Provide relevant and specialised technical support in area of expertise to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives

Technical Skills and Experience:

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:
Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or  Civil Engineering is essential.
A minimum of 3 years€™ operational experience in Infrastructure Maintenance.
Microsoft office basic level.
Basic SCADA and PLC
