MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Diploma in Road Transport
- 2-3 years supervisory and / or operational experience is required

Job Specification
Maintain and control Costs
- Monitor kilometers travelled on a daily basis according to the fuel issue system
- Monitor and analyze overtime trends, allowances, and payments to minimize costs
- Provide input to the Weekly Flash Reports and Monthly Reports
- Monitor day to day costs within section
Controlling of vehicle maintenance
- Monitor and control the vehicle maintenance by ensuring that the maintenance schedule program for contract vehicles is monitored
- Ensure maintenance costs are kept to a minimum by ensuring that vehicles are serviced regularly
- Report on Vehicle defects immediately

SHEQ Procedures
- Ensure that housekeeping audits are conducted regularly and that corrective action is taken if required. This includes the condition of the vehicle, appearance of drivers and appearance of offices
- Ensure the safety audits are conducted regularly on all facets and that corrective action is taken if required
- Ensure that the reporting on safety is done accurately and timeously according to Company Procedures and Standards
Management of staff
- Monitoring and measuring

- Ensure that the Grievance procedure is effectively implemented should employees have any grievances

Maintain Entropy system
- Accidents to be reported within 24 hours
- Maintain an accident report keeping system in such a manner that accident frequency, cost trends, discipline and training needs are recorded

- Check the validity of licenses and transport permits
- Check that drivers are briefed on pre- trip on aspects including documentation, economic and defensive driving standards, fuel consumption, routes, delays and vehicle defects
