POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of this role is to lead the Day to Day purchasing division of Supply managing the Purchase order Creation, Tender process and Expediting. You will also be responsible to ensure payment queries are addressed and Service Entry Sheets are created.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTECH/National Diploma Commercial /Engineering/Mining Engineering with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Purchasing
• 3 years supervisory experience would be advantageous;
• Experience in SAP is essential;
• Experience in the mining environment would be advantages.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Reviews the information in the RFC form and approves or rejects above a defined approval limit;
• Reviews and releases high value non-traded goods and service Purchase Orders to ensure they have been created in accordance with approved procurement processes;
• Application of quality improvement and process simplification to reduce costs of daily activities;
• Management of tender process;
• Ensure payment queries are resolved;
• Responsible for all manual Service Entry Sheet creation by Service Entry Sheet Administrators;
• Ensuring accurate Service Master Data is created;
• Ensure user satisfaction in terms of quality, delivery and support;
• Maintain a skilled, trained staff of procurement professionals;
• Creating analytical tools for RFP evaluation.
