Knysna Municipality: Finance Internships 2024/2025 in Western Cape

Knysna Local Municipality is offering x8 Finance Internships opportunities within their Department in Western Cape. This internship will provides an opportunity for graduates to gain the necessary experience required in the employment fields. The internship programme will run for a period of 3 years fixed term contract. Successful candidates will receive a stipends of R98000.00 per annum (No benefits or allowances will be payable).

Qualification : A 3 three-year BCom Degree / National Diploma in Financial Management / Financial Accounting / Economics / Management Accounting / Risk Management / Auditing

Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure

Preference will be given to young graduate residing as follows:

Knysna Municipal Area,
Eden District Municipal Area,
Western Cape and then nationally.

PURPOSE: The MFMIP is an organised professional training and work experience programme with the goal of providing high quality training and practical exposure in all aspects of Municipal Finance Management. The programme has a logical training sequence that builds on the skills and competencies acquired during University and Technikon training.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Implementation of MFMA, GRAP and Budget Reforms
Financial and Budget Management
Internal Auditing, Risk, Performance and Project Management
Expenditure and Supply Chain / Procurement Management
Revenue and Income Management
Asset Management
