LECTURER: COMMUNICATION (GRAPHIC) DESIGN AT UNIVERSITY OF JOHANNESBURG (UJ)
The Department of Graphic Design in the Faculty of Art Design and Architecture seeks to appoint a Communication (Graphic) Design Lecturer.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching and assessment in Communication Design (Graphic Design) and Communication Design Technology (Adobe design software and related software)
- Studying towards a postgraduate degree (MA or PhD) or conducting textual or practice-led research
- Maintain links with industry
- Work with the team of colleagues to develop the Communication Design programme
- Participate in the activities of the Graphic Design Department and perform administrative duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- A BTech or Honours degree in a relevant discipline such as Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design or Information Design
- A strong portfolio of recent graphic design work
- Experience of working in the Graphic Design industry and / or experience of teaching and assessment in Higher Education
- Registered or in the process of registering for an MA or PhD
