Assessing you in context

We understand that not every candidate’s achievements look the same on paper – and we want to recruit the best people, from every background. We look for 340 UCAS points (or equivalent) but as we use a contextualised recruitment system we have the ability to understand your achievements in the context in which they have been gained. This allows us to, where appropriate, apply some flexibility and consider candidates who fall slightly short of our criteria and who demonstrate potential.

Programme overview

Our Vacation Scheme offers the ideal opportunity to experience what it’s like to work for a City-based, global law firm.
Each Vacation Scheme gives you the chance to experience two of our key practice areas. Training is provided throughout to familiarise you with some of our typical transactions and to help you develop key skills. We place great emphasis on involving you in ‘live’ work.
You’ll be an integral part of the team, attending client and department meetings, as well as court hearings. Expect plenty of social events and networking opportunities too. These will help you find out more about us by meeting a range of Partners, Associates and Trainees.

Who can apply?

We accept applications for the Summer Scheme from law and non-law students in their penultimate year of study – or second or third year for those on a four-year course. There’s also a two-week scheme during the Spring for final year students and graduates.

Need to know

Students are paid £321 per week on the Vacation Scheme.
