Standard Bank, in partnership with StudyTrust, offers full cost bursaries to students who have demonstrated academic and leadership potential, who are currently in Grade 12 and will be in their first (1st) year of study.

The Bank prefers the students in the Bursary Programme to study at the following Institutions of Higher Learning:
* University of Cape Town
* University of the Witwatersrand
* University of Pretoria
* Rhodes University
* University of Stellenbosch
* University of KwaZulu-Natal
* University of Johannesburg.

Qualifying criteria
Academic excellence: Selection will be done on the basis of Grade 11 final results, Grade 12 June results and Grade 12 Pre-lim results
The minimum requirements are: A 70% average and not less than 75% for Mathematics, 70% for Physical Science and 70% for English FAL (or 60% for English HL). However, successful candidates in the past presented no fewer than 5 distinctions
* The Standard Bank CSI Bursary Programme is for candidates whose parent(s) or guardian(s) would not be able to afford paying their fees and cannot secure a loan with financial institutions except NSFAS.
* Learners rural and township background will be given preference
* Hard working learners who are able to demonstrate the ability that they are more likely to succeed in tertiary study
Please note that the Standard Bank CSI Bursary Programme is only for learners who participated in the centre of excellence mentioned above.

Recruitment of learners will emanate from the alignment with various organizations across the country that specialise in learner development and or social support programme that position selected learner to succeed.
