SALARY R 229 400 – R 283 750 (All-inclusive Package)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Act as first point of contact in all administrative matters relating to the Human Settlement Programme
  • Assist in the day to day routine tasks associated with an office management
  • Create and maintain a well-organised record management system in both paper and electronic formats
  • Resolve student queries  relating to the programme
  • Attend to student queries (which may include: registration status, handing out assignments, submission of assignments, test and examination dates, posting and removing messages on the bulletin board)
  • Assist in the registration and cancellation of courses, capturing of marks distribution of course materials and so forth
  • Travel arrangements for academic staff and visiting fellows  and students
  • Compile and submit written reports on various aspects of the programme as and when required
  • Assist with typing, photocopying, scanning & hand delivery of official documents
  • Work with the programme convenors to coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Take minutes of meetings and dissemination thereof to relevant parties timeously
  • Management of tutors
  • Facilitate office budgeting & requisitions
  • Liaison with Faculty office and other internal & external departmental stakeholders.

 
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • M + 3 Year National Diploma in Office Management or B Admin or a relevant NQF level 6 qualification as recognized by SAQA;
  • 4 years relevant administrative experience in an academic environment or corporate setting
  • Advanced computer skills which should include but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Basic understanding of student administration
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal relations, verbal and written communication skills
