Job description

Key responsibilities of this role:
Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, blogs and other relevant social media communities, including online review sites and forums

  • Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about the company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know the client on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of social editorial calendars, message development, and community engagement on behalf of the brand
  • Contribute to development and execution of brand-specific social media strategy leveraging existing and emerging social media platforms
  • Create and optimise social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest and other social media platforms in conjunction with internal PR and digital teams, and agency partners
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional marketing, creative and business management teams to leverage organic/paid media activities and help drive roadmap projects for social media integration on our sites
  • Track KPIs and budgets and report performance that meets the channel-specific goals of the brand(s) and assist agency partner(s) in the development and analysis of ongoing reporting, including monthly brand social media analysis and development of post-campaign reports
  • Research and compile statistics on the client’s social audience, as well as the client’s competitors across various social media platforms
  • Manage implementation and analysis of all online (social) giveaways and promotions
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
