Job description

  • Oversee the planning and coordination of events/promotions
  • Facilitate tender processes for marketing related procurement
  • Oversee the process and managing of events/promotion on-site
  • Oversee the managing all technical requirements related to in-mall activations and events
  • Keep abreast of industry/market-related activity
  • Manage event/promotion budget
  • Canvas campaign sponsorship opportunities for the centre

 

Requirements

  • Have a clear and thorough knowledge of marketing principles
  • Preferably have centre marketing experience (but not essential)
  • Understand and have experience in dealing with related fields – advertising, PR, online, social media, media in general, events and promotions
  • Must have extensive media relationships
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Have knowledge of and practical experience in putting events/promotions together and the execution thereof
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, must have worked in a service related capacity (client/tenant relationships)
  • Must be able to manage a team – good leadership skills
  • Must have attention to detail and excellent admin skills
  • Must have good negotiating and persuasive skills
  • Must have an excellent command of English – verbal and written
  • Excellent financial skills, budget control
  • Strong strategic ability
  • Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to timeline
  • Must be passionate, gregarious and optimistic
  • Must be mature and not overly sensitive – work objectively and not subjectively
