Job description

Great opportunity for a female brand ambassador to join busy marketing agency in Johannesburg.
You will be responsible for building relationships in the hospitality industry using your experience and knowledge of the food and beverage business to drive awareness, sales and marketing of Italian liquor brands.
The brand ambassador will:

• Educate distributors, consumers, retailers, waitstaff and business owners
• Identify and manage key accounts on and off premise, driving sales and marketing initiatives, while also understanding the underlying commercials
• Develop relationships with key influencers in key on-premise and off-premise independent accounts
• Improve visibility and merchandising of the brands
• Raise the profile of the brand within the trade and consumer community
• Generate incremental sales volume
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with bartenders, account managers, and account owners
• Educate the retail and wholesale trade to drive distribution, improve visibility and increase sales
• Increase the in-account portfolio visibility with merchandising materials and menu list placements
• Work with key accounts to develop customised programs that drive consumer trial and sales volume
• Use networking ability to target influencers and increase brand loyalty and consumption
• Provide feedback concerning brand positioning, competitive activities and market trends
• Provide input regarding future marketing plan development

Requirements

• 25 years and over
• Live in Johannesburg and have extensive knowledge of the city and the surrounding areas
• Professional image and enjoy dressing stylishly for success
• Positive attitude, diplomacy, high energy and charismatic personality
• Three to five years of experience in hospitality industry
• Able to work independently
• Available to work evenings and weekends
• Public speaking, presentation and writing skills
• Ability to sell, influence and partner with customers and co-workers
• Ability to manage budgets and provide timely, concise reporting
• Excellent execution and time management skills; strong attention to detail with ability to take initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
• Clean driving record and valid licence
• Solid computer skills including all Microsoft Office products
• Free to travel with valid passport

Advantageous

• Italian heritage
• Knowledge of mixology/cocktail making
• Speak and write fluent Italian
• Tertiary education in either hospitality, sales and marketing or communications
