Unitrans has a vacancy for a Financial Controller at our Head Office in Kenilworth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Articles at Top 4 Firm
- CA(SA) essential with 7 years post articles experience in a commercial environment
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance in a managerial capacity
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS, Financial Management, Accounting principles , Budgeting and Forecasting,
- Knowledge of cross border accounting principles and taxation practices
- Knowledge of Accounting systems,( Sage X3, Roll up sheets and Qlikview would be advantageous)

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
- Ensure compliance with appropriate IFRS standards, regulatory requirements, and external audit requirements.
- Ensure timeous and accurate monthly financial results reporting to group.
- Monitor and control group financial performance.
- Responsible for all technical accounting matters including but not limited to Business combinations, Impairments, FCTR, Taxation, Foreign exchange etc.
- Overseeing the completion, accuracy and quality of annual financial statements, statutory and taxation packs, audit and board packs
- Ensure appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place
- Develop, establish, and direct execution of financial operating policies and procedures to support overall company policies and objectives.
- Monitor and ensure corrective action is applied to all issues raised through internal and external Audits
- Manage a team of Financial managers, accountants, clerks and responsible for the departments people management including but not limited to recruitment, training, discipline and performance management
- Ad hoc accounting and finance matters
