Job description
Zoom Advertising is looking for a mid-weight content manager. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for creating engaging content on a variety of social and digital platforms. In addition, they will need to assist the community manager (where necessary) and provide input during social / digital media strategy sessions, as well as creative brainstorms.
Responsibilities
- Building online brand presence through social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and other strategically aligned online/mobile platforms.
- Creating and conceptualising shareable content appropriate for specific networks.
- Developing and writing content plans for clients.
- Assisting the community manager with posting and planning (scheduling) approved brand content on online platforms.
- Assisting the community manager with responding to all queries and comments during working hours (08.30 to 17.00) and over weekends when required.
- Reporting on the performance of platforms and providing insights into content performance.
- Generating campaign ideas based on content performance and successful content.
- Conducting social audits and assisting with overall online brand research that will support the ongoing growth of communities and feed back into strategy.
- Monitoring local and international digital/social media trends and use this insight to help inform strategy, content, and community management.
- Exploring new ways to engage and new social networks.
Requirements
- Degree or relevant diploma in copywriting, literature, media production or journalism.
- Minimum of three years’ social media/ content management experience in a professional environment.
- A brilliant command of English is a must.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of various social media channels, with a command of each network and their best practices.
- Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media.
- Quick thinker and learner.
- Team player who is flexible and enthusiastic.
- Takes pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Passionate about connecting with diverse consumer markets
Advantageous
- Ability to speak, read and write in other official South African languages will be an advantage.
