We have an internship position for a Finance graduate.
Key Purpose
To develop finance administration skills and to learn the skills required to thrive in the financial services industry
Key Outputs
• Prepare monthly creditors reconciliations for supplier payments
• Ensure that suppliers are paid per the agreed terms and conditions
• Prepare and review monthly uploads of supplier transactions
• Matching and posting supplier transactions
• Manage Creditors cycle as per the company policies and procedures
• Manage and assist with the accrual process
• Liaise effectively with procurement, treasury, and management and ensure team work, encourage co-operation.
• Mange and resolve supplier, internal other relevant queries
• Assist with audit preparation and liaise with auditors
• Prepare operational and month end reports
• Complete monthly close off procedures
• Perform month end Accounts payable reconciliations to the general ledger
• Reconcile and resolve GRNI accounts and transactions
• Manage, assist, train and supervise junior clerks
• Review and approve supplier reconciliations
• Review and recommend improvements to existing processes
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure best practice
• Perform any other related functions requested by management
• Ensure compliance with the VAT Act
• Develop an understanding in order to assist with the BEE requirements relating to procurement and related reporting
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree/Diploma in Finance/ Accounting/ Bookkeeping
