Compuscan, a registered credit bureau that is based in Stellenbosch, has a position available for an Accountant.
Key Requirements
- 3 Years’ experience as an Accountant
- Degree/Diploma in Accountancy
- Experience with working with offshore companies
- Experience with an offshore Company
- Excellent Excel skills

Key Performance Areas
- Financial Accounting and reporting for multiple legal entities
- Transaction allocation, processing and reconciliation
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget and prior year
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve queries
- Report to management regarding the finances of multiple legal entities
- Daily Cashflow/Provisions
- Prepare weekly payments
- Administer Bank reconciliations, Staff Loans, Expense Accounts, Inter Company Loans
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Support month end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Support internal and external audits
- Provide input into the department’s goal setting process
- Co-ordinate the process inputs from other team members on the accounting records
