CIRCULAR MINUTE
The contents of this Circular Minute must be brought to the attention of all eligible employees on your establishment without delay. Institutions must notify all employees who qualify even if they are not in their normal places of work.
DIRECTIONS TO CANDIDATES
The following documents must be submitted and if not submitted the applicant will be disqualified forthwith:-
Application for Employment Form (Z83), which is obtainable at any Government department OR from the website- www.kznhealth.gov.za
Certified copies of Highest Educational Qualifications- not copies of certified copies. Curriculum Vitae with full record of service
Recently certified copy of Identity Document not more than three months – not copy of a copy
The reference number must be indicated in the column provided on form Z83, e.g. Reference Number (GTN08/2024).
oFailure to comply with the above instructions will disqualify the applicants.
oPlease note that due to a large number of applications received, applications will not be acknowledged, however, only the short-listed applicants will be advised of the outcome.
oThe appointments are subject to positive outcome obtained from the NIA to the following checks
(security clearance, credit records, qualifications, citizenship, and previous experience verification)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Senior Certificate/ Grade 12
Diploma/Degree in general nursing and /Midwifery
Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse and Midwife
Current receipt 2024
Certificate of service must be attached.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETENCES REQUIRED
Knowledge of Public Service Policy
Knowledge of SANC Rules and Regulation
Good communication ,leadership, interpersonal and problem solving skills
Knowledge of code of conduct ,Labour relations ,conflict management and negotiation skills
Ability to function well within a team
Organizing ,planning and supervisory skills
Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles and Patients’ Rights Charter
Financial budgetary knowledge
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure good nursing care that is cost effective,equitable and efficient
Perform comprehensive quality nursing practices in accordance with the scope of practice and set nursing standards
Ensure implementation and compliance of National Core Standards and the 6 key priorities areas
Participate in quality rounds and inspection and maintain reports of such inspection
Participate in clinical and nursing audits to evaluate patient care
Ensure in adverse events, complaints and various other related challenges are handled and minimized
Ensure policies, guidelines and protocols are implemented
Ability to work shifts and cover day and night duty as the need arises
Assist with in-service training
Ensure development of staff to render high quality patient care
Participate in client satisfaction and waiting times surveys
Ensure the attainment of quality compassionate patient care
